New Feature for 2023- Composer of the Month

Hello everyone, and a very happy new year to you all.

Just a quick post from me today to say that I am starting a new feature on the blog for 2023- Composer of the Month. As well as the usual content you see here each month, I will choose a composer to highlight. I will give you a bit of a biography for that composer, suggest some of their compositions to start listening to, and let you know where you can find out more information.

I am going to start with some of the best known composers, but will also feature composers that get less attention, and you may not have heard of, or your children may not have heard of. And I won’t just stick to “Classical” with a big C composers- music is music whether it was written 500 years ago or yesterday after all.

If you have any suggestions for composers you would like to know more about, please do let me know.

So my first composer of the month blog post will appear next Wednesday and I will be starting with one of the most famous composers of all time, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
